Terms and Conditions

Definitions: The Academy-Trapdoor Theatre Academy, any staff pupils or any organization or person involved in Trapdoor Theatre Academy.

The Academy reserves the right to withdraw tuition if class fees are not up to date.  Any fees unpaid by the specified date on the invoice will incur an admin charge of £7.50 and an extra £3.50 for every week over the date.  Class fees are non negotiable and we accept non responsibility for non payment of fees under any circumstances. 

Exam fees must be paid by the date specified on letters sent out for each exam session although no exam fees should come in any later than 6 weeks before the exam date.  Any exam fees not paid by this date will result in non entry to the exam and you may still be required to pay for the exam.  Any exam fees paid late will be at the discretion of the relevant teacher but all will incur a late payment surcharge of 50% of the exam fee to cover late payment charges set by the exam boards.

If a student does not attend 3 classes in a row without a valid reason at the discretion of the head of department then the student will be removed from the class and any class or exam fees will not be refunded.  Abusive or aggressive behavior towards any staff or student of the Academy will not be tolerated and will result in prosecution.  By enroling your child in classes at the Academy you are agreeing to the Academy Staff taking both photographs and video for use within the Academy.

Terms for organisations

Booking of staff for classes is to be done on a term by term basis and any cancellation needs to be given in writing with a terms notice. 

Any literature sent out by the organisation including references or information about the academy must be produced to the head of department within the academy prior to its distribution.

The organisation is responsible for any loss due to breaking of these terms.

The Academy reserves the right to change any details about any classes or productions at any time without notice.
